A custom property search platform built for a growing real estate brokerage, replacing a clunky third-party listing plugin with a fast, filterable experience.
The Challenge
Zenith relied on a slow, generic listings plugin that couldn’t handle their growing inventory, offered poor search filtering, and gave agents no easy way to manage their own listings without developer help.
Our Approach
We built a custom web application with React on the front end and a Node.js API, giving Zenith fast, map-based property search, instant filtering, and an agent dashboard for managing listings independently.
Map-Based Property Search
Listings are plotted on an interactive Mapbox map with instant filtering by price, property type, and neighborhood — letting buyers narrow thousands of listings down in seconds.
Algolia-Powered Instant Search
A typeahead search bar, powered by Algolia, returns relevant listings as users type, cutting the time from search to contact.
Agent Listing Dashboard
Agents can add, edit, and feature their own listings through a self-serve dashboard, removing Zenith’s dependency on developer support for routine updates.
The Results
Qualified property leads roughly tripled, search-to-contact time dropped 65%, and Zenith’s team now manages 1,200+ live listings without outside developer help.
